Puget Sound - Nov 2009
For Thanksgiving this year, Crystal and I travelled to Seattle to spend the weekend with Rachelle, who is currently living and working in Tacoma, WA. What a wonderful treat to spend the entire long weekend with my family!
We stayed on the Olympic Peninsula in the small town of Ollalla - rented a small house right on the water. I spent more hours than is probably reasonable on the deck (yes, it was cold!) feeling the air, watching the sky, listening to the sound of the moving water during the tides, watching the critters, and enjoying the air. So very very different than what I know here in Colorado, and about as far away from the deserts of Texas where I was just the week before! During our visit, we managed to eat as much fresh seafood as possible, and went through more bottles of wine than I could have predicted. T'was wonderful indeed!
For those of you who know Crystal and Rachelle - several photos of my wonderful daughters. Enjoy them as I do - they are funny, interesting, kind, articulate young women with a healthy streak of the unexpected thrown in!
