A weekend visit to one of my favorite places - Mount Evans. Highest paved road in the US, access to the top of a fourteener, Bristlecone pine, critters, and flowers. This visit has been dubbed the Day of the Goat. Sitting under a ridge above Echo Lake, laughing and talking and taking in the beauty surrounding us, Marti looked behind us to see that we had visitors - at one point close enough to touch the lens of my camera. We were apparently on a mountain goat throughway!
