Spring in the Desert Southwest - Mar/Apr 2010
Early spring road trip to the desert southwest included camping with my sister Joyce and great niece Jessenia, snow, wind, rain and cold, much laughter and a few tears, and the joy of being surrounded by some of nature's most wondrous sights, sounds, and smells.
Truly a road trip - I didn't stay in any one place for very long. Stops included Fisher Towers near Moab, Comb Ridge, Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods, the Moki Dugway, Cedar Mesa, Muley Point, Goosenecks of the San Juan, Canyon de Chelly, Bluff and the San Juan River, Cortez, and finally home with an early morning breakfast on the sandy banks of the Colorado River. My soul is always grounded and my heart centered after time under the desert sky.
