A Sunday afternoon visit to the FIve Points area of Denver. An historical area of Denver, it is rich in history, music, and diversity. It's also not an easy neighborhood, plagued by drugs and crime in spite of the recent attempts at gentrification. And still, a neighborhood filled with joy and life.

I am playing with Black & White as one of my summer challenges. I love color - it always speaks to me. I also like B&W images, and would like to improve my ability to visualize B&W more intuitively. I'm playing with a combination of B&W conversions in Photoshop CS5 as well as NIK Silver Efex Pro. Enjoy the juxtaposition - think about how very much the image in B&W changes the story. Or does it?
