Portraits

I really struggled with my Africa galleries. I don't like to post dozens of images.

As a sorted through thousands of images, I was struck by how many of these children (and adults!) touched my heart. Their joy, the beauty of their smile, the mischief in their eyes.

You, my viewer, have before you what I think of as portraits of beauty and joy. Enjoy.

Seriously . . . .
In each classroom and playground we visited, the children were full of laughter and curiosity. Seriousness also prevailed!

My guides while we explored the Njoro Primary grounds, including the fresh water spring that provides their school's water. I speak almost no Swahili, and these girls spoke almost no English - we photographed, we played, we laughed!
